I’m passionate about many things, and visual storytelling is one of them.

I develop and create characters that are both endearing and relatable — appealing to people of all age groups. I also design immersive worlds they belong in.

It is a process of extensive research to ensure that every detail in the artwork contributes to a richer narrative experience. With my academic background in art history and the humanities, I approach my work with respect for research and the multilayered meanings of images.

I would describe my work as “commercial” and “animated”, which echoes my formal training in digital and two-dimensional animation. Given the visual accessibility and “approachable” qualities of my work, my illustrations work well in picture books.

Picturebooks allowed me to merge most of the things that I am passionate about. On top of it, I find it fulfilling seeing my art take on a life of its own – finding its way on store shelves, in libraries, schools, and communities —where it inspires real people, sparks creativity, and ignites imagination.
